In 2023-2024, Sustain Africa aims to reach 530.000 farmers with 88.000 MT of fertilizer in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Uganda and Zambia. In addition, Sustain Africa is providing advisory services to the Kenyan and Nigerian governments on fertilizer supply and is funding a scoping study on liming in Tanzania. By mid-2024, Sustain Africa aims to have supported the supply of just under 200K MT of fertilizer to just over 2 million farmers, in 7 countries.

To date, Sustain Africa 2022 programmes, a number of which are still ongoing, have reached over 1.5 million farmers with just over 111 thousand metric tons of fertilizer. Over 1000 agrodealers have participated in the programmes at hub and retail level and over 113 thousand farmers have been trained on fertilizer choice and application through over 300 field days, over 200 radio programmes and other information distributed at point of sale.

Sustain Africa has mobilized a ratio of 1.6 to 1 in private-sector contributions to donor funding. Currently almost 90% of private-sector financial contributions have been realized, demonstrating the commitment of private-sector partners to Sustain Africa, and to maintaining supply through difficult conditions.

We are in planning stages.
